Jan Rudolf, the earl of Chotek, had the most significant building of the Czech Empirical period built at the beginning of the 19th century. The project was drafted by C. F. Schurit, along with J. Fishcher and its builder, J. F. Joendl who partook in the resulting appearance of the pure style newly erected building. It is namely the monumental colonnades in the round communicating wings and porticos at the center of both the main manor structure and the side pavilions that capture the eye with a generally restrained articulation of the widely spread manor.
At present there is a museum located in the manor, dealing with an agricultural subject and exposition on the House of the Choteks, demonstrating the transformation of the feudal system into the capitalist system. There is a circularly planned library with an inner pillared gallery in the left pavilion, while in the right pavilion we can visit a manor theater with the stage equipment and backstage dating back to the middle of the 19th century.
